Introduction
VK:e environmental is a consulting practice that believes in and passionately promotes Sustainability. It is a part of an established architectural practice, ‘VK:a architecture’ which has more than 30 years of experience in the construction and real estate development sectors. We are a group of professionals, assisting other professionals and businesses achieve their first step towards Sustainability. We ensure that Sustainability becomes everyone’s business!
At VK:e, we endeavour to present Sustainability ideas and concepts to professionals and businesses and help to implement them in practice. In Architecture, we help enhance designs to include consideration of Sustainability. We encourage and develop Environmental Assessments and Environmental Management Plans for decision making and implementation. We help clients develop ‘Green Brands’ through ‘Green Building Rating Systems‘ and Eco-Labeling.
At our core, is Sustainable Architecture and Planning Education. We interact with academic institutions and are closely associated with programmes to enhance the knowledgebase on Sustainability and its integration with Architecture and Planning.
VK:e Experience
Our team has been a part of teams that have implemented Green Buildings. We have been on various fora that are making National level decisions on Energy Efficiency in Commercial Buildings. We have documented and implemented Eco-Housing. We have been involved in deliberations and discussions pertaining to urban environmental planning under various local municipal authorities. We have helped enhance architectural designs for Sustainability. We have conducted research and analysis on building materials and technologies to look at possibility of integrating sustainable materials and technologies in architectural projects.
